Holben's career focus has been media relations, the strategies and tactics necessary to achieve impactful
editorial placements in international, national, trade and local media - both traditional outlets and the social media channels,
including blogs. She is the principal owner of Denver-based Absolutely Public Relations, the PR consulting firm she founded
in 1999. Now retired, after logging forty years in the industry, Holben is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America
and is a member of its Counselors Academy. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma and has taught both
advertising and public relations on the university level. Holben is a past two-term director for the Colorado BioScience Association.
In addition she is a former director and advisory board member for the Denver-based Cat Care Society (CCS), having served
